Local Information
Travel to Edinburgh
Edinburgh airport is served by most major European airlines. For delegates travelling from ICASSP, the budget airline Jet2 operates four direct flights per week to Edinburgh from Prague. Other airlines serve the route via hubs such as Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Heathrow.
The Airlink 100 bus runs from the airport to the city centre every 10 minutes. The journey time is 30 minutes and costs £6 for a return ticket. Alternatively, a one-way taxi fare is in the region of £25.
Edinburgh city centre is very compact: the conference venue, most accommodation and many visitor attractions are generally within 5-10 minutes walk.
Workshop venue

There are several informal restaurants and bars close to the Informatics Forum, and many more on George IV Bridge and the Royal Mile, a few minutes' walk north. The List has reviews of many of the dining options.
